In case you are not sure whether or not to hire your own interpreter for the Canton Fair

You can survive within the Canton Fair venue, without knowing any Chinese word.
Most of the exhibitors would have some English speaking staff able to answer basic questions, such as quotation, time of delivery and general condition of the goods.

But if you would like to discuss with them in detail, for instance, to share with them about comment on the product design, if you are looking for other features with accurate specifications, you may not readily get an interpreter in the complex to work with you. It is not easy to find interpreters who have good business sense enough to think from your point of view. 

If you really want to hire your own interpreter, you can find them outside the venue of the exhibition hall; the fair organizer would assign a special area for translators. You would see lots of young people, holding signs showing which language they can translate. The daily charge is usually between US$20-30.
